Sculpture Sans Titre
Perennial work presented at HubHug
150, rue de Rennes
In 2015-2016, Victor Vialles took part in the second session of GENERATOR, a professionalization programme for young artists and curators, jointly run by 40mcube and the École européenne supérieure d'art de Bretagne. For 7 months, he benefited from a workshop within the Self Signal company.
Invited to create a work for the Hub Hug, Victor Vialles chose to mark the location of the place and to signal its presence from the road. For this project, he collaborated with Self Signal, one of whose specialities is the manufacture of road signs. In this way, he takes over the company's skills, tools and materials and creates a specific signage that plays with standards. By blurring the traditional message of road signs, Victor Vialles' sculpture appeals more strongly to motorists and passers-by.
