The artists Morgan Azaroff, Lucie Férézou, Louise Mervelet, Léo Fourdrinier, laureates of GENERATOR #5, spent seven months in Rennes to develop their artistic practice, produce works, expand their network and learn the legal, administrative and accounting basics. At the end of this working time, they propose Suave Sueur, an exhibition showing their respective work and an articulation of their works created simultaneously and side by side over the last seven months.

Energy, sensuality, generosity and technicality are all different ways to approach sculpture. From ambiguity to magic, the exhibition Suave Sueur brings together the proposals of Morgan Azaroff, Lucie Férézou, Léo Fourdrinier and Louise Mervelet.

Morgan Azaroff was stressed, but for this exhibition at the HubHug, he’s better.

Lucie Férézou works on the subjectivity of landscape through sculpture and installation, between the resonance of the material and a certain aesthetics of colours.

Louise Mervelet situates her work in the field of pop culture. “Criard, putassier, vulgar, glamorous, theatrical, frivolous, superficial, coarse, outrageous, exaggerated, futile” is her motto.

Léo Fourdrinier explores the tensions of contemporary paranoia through a domestic and mythological space.
